The problem with regular speakers is there is no way to isolate left and right channels. Placing many speakers next to each other result in one listener competing to hear his/her sounds with the sounds from the other. VAI allows many audio sources to co-exist in a small area without creating an unpleasant atmosphere. VAI units can be set up at intervals of three feet, allowing individuals the ability to hear sounds perfectly without disturbing the person listening to another audio presentation just arms length away.
Ambient, or background noise, is encountered in most public places. When standard speakers are employed in a public environment, it is very difficult to hear the signal over the surrounding background noise. VAI solves this problem by projecting the sound waves directly into the listener's ears. The sound waves, projected by VAI, are so concentrated that an individual standing in the listening region will not be disturbed by the background noise. As the individual steps under a Virtual Audio Imager, the surrounding ambient noise is masked by the stereo sounds projected from VAI.
